Termin rastresiti materijali obuhvaća širok spektar prirodnih i tvornički proizvedenih materijala kojima djeca mogu manipulirati i mijenjati im svrhu, ovisno o cilju koji žele postići. Rastresiti materijali pružaju djetetu samostalnost u kreiranju igre primjerene njegovoj dobi, interesima i razvojnim karakteristikama, omogućuju i višestruke ishode igre.
Preuzimanjem uloge promatra a i opskrbljiva a, odgojitelj priprema prostorno-materijalno okružje, a ulogom suigrača aktivno participira u dječjoj igri kao podrška i usmjerivač dječjeg razvoja.
Abstract (english) Children's play is a crucial source of learning and entertainment for every child, and its importance in a child's development is immense. It is essential to provide children with a variety of games and a rich supply of materials to use during self-organized play. Children's play involves exploring and manipulating various toys and objects with emphasized educational values that are significant for a child's development. This paper is based on research into the impact of loose materials on children's play and the process of acquiring new knowledge. Children's imagination and creativity transform environmental objects into the most interesting toys or give them utility value in the play itself. The term loose materials encompasses a wide range of natural and factoryproduced materials that children can manipulate and repurpose depending on the goal they want to achieve. Loose materials provide children with autonomy in creating play suitable for their age, interests, and developmental characteristics, allowing for multiple play outcomes. Each child's choice in using loose materials is highlighted by objects that are not predefined, making each play session different, more creative, and more stimulating for children.
Activities are directed towards creating a learning environment that needs to be tailored to each individual child according to their individual predispositions. The educator, as the carrier of educational practice, listens to the children and their needs and accordingly creates a space for children's play. By taking on the role of observer and supplier, the educator prepares the spatialmaterial environment and, as a co-player, actively participates in children's play as a support and guide for children's development.
For the purposes of the thesis, a research study titled "Loose Materials in Children's Play and Learning" was conducted in a kindergarten. The research was carried out in the Sisa komoslava ka County and included 24 children from four educational groups aged two to seven years. The aim of this research was to understand the benefits of play and the learning process during play with loose materials. The research was based on monitoring children's play with loose materials, documenting the play, analyzing photographs and video recordings, and children's statements. The results indicate that play with loose materials positively affects children's development as a whole, with emphasized support for the development of children's imagination, which is reflected in the multiple uses of different loose materials in research activities, leading the child to new knowledge
