Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder is one of the more common disorders in children. ADHD is a cognitive and behavioral disorder characterized by symptoms; inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. A child with ADHD has a problem with concentration, he has a difficult time following the instructions of adults, he is restless, he reacts violently emotionally, he does not foresee the good consequences of his behavior. This disorder significantly impairs the child´s quality of life as well as his relationships with peers and adults. Raising and educating children with ADHD is a big challenge. However, it is important to be aware and realize that children with ADHD are not defined by their disorder or problem, but are, first and foremost, children. In order to avoid social isolation, timely detection of disorders and education of parents and educators is crucial. Children with ADHD possess various talents, are full of creative thoughts, adapt easily and love to explore. With the support of family, educators and experts, these children can realize their potential and lead a happy and fulfilling life. The educator plays a key role in the preschool institustions and child´s environment. He should recognize the child´s needs and wishes, adapt the space and activities, and establish cooperation with parents and other children in the group in order to enable future progress.
