Gustav Krklec was a Croatian literate and translator for children and adults. In this paper we focused primarily on Krklečev’s creativity for children. Starting point of this paper is biography and works of Gustav Krklec and his presence in literary and anthological reviews of Croatian children's literature. In order to evaluate and better understand the position of writer in today’s Croatian children's literature, a complete bibliography of children's works by Gustava Krkleca was started. The research results showed that Krklečevo's creativity in the field of children's literature was most popular in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. "Majmun i naočale" and "Telegrafske basne" represent the most prominent works, because of the biggest number of literary editions. Namely, the work "Majmun i naočale" counts eleven editions, while "Telegrafske basne" had nine editions. This large number of editions contributes to the phenomenon of published works in three-sided editions on Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian. The publishers who published most works of Gustava Krklec are Naša djeca and Mladost. The most common illustrator is Nives Kavurić-Kurtović, whil the most common editors are Ana Kulušić and Drago Kozina. Bibliography of Gustav Krklec is comprised of a total of eighty works for children literature from which thirtyseven are picture books, fourteen are poetry poems, twenty-one children's stories and twelve editions of the fables
