Sa sobom nosi mnoge beneficije, počevši od utjecaja na djetetove emocije, razvijanje saznanja o realnosti i imaginarnosti, utjecaja na razvoj likovne osviještenosti do razvoja govora, čitanja, izražavanja i slično. Upravo zbog velike važnosti slikovnice u djetetovu životu, potrebno je obratiti posebnu pažnju pri izradi iste. Prvi dio rada tiče se teorije slikovnice, uključuje povijest slikovnice u svijetu i Hrvatskoj od 16. stoljeća do današnjih modernih multimedijskih slikovnica. Također, uključuje i podjelu slikovnica prema vrsti, obliku, strukturi izlaganja, sadržaju, likovnoj tehnici i sudjelovanju recipijenata. Budući da slikovnice imaju veliku ulogu u odgoju i obrazovanju, važno je znati i njihove funkcije. One su: informacijsko – odgojna, spoznajna, iskustvena, estetska i zabavna funkcija. Budući da je važno i znati izabrati slikovnicu, navode se tipovi slikovnica koje pozitivno utječu na govorni, estetski i misaoni razvoj djeteta. Drugi dio rada praktični je dio i obuhvaća izradu slikovnice; plan i proces izrade, potrebne materijale, odabir ilustracija i rad u Photoshopu. Ilustracije za slikovnicu „Mješoviti čarobni orkestar“ nastale su tehnikom tekstilnog oblikovanja kako bi kroz mekoću prizora bile što bliže djeci predškolskog uzrasta. Vrlo malo slikovnica nastaje ovom tehnikom, što ih čini još posebnijima. Namjera je bila da slikovnica, osim što je bliska djeci po fabuli, bude bliska djeci i po raznovrsnim materijalima od kojih je izrađena te da prvenstveno bude poticatelj dječje mašte, kreativnosti i promišljanja izvan okvira uobičajenosti. Također, slikovnica je i edukativne prirode te kroz djeci blizak vokabular šalje jasnu poruku o pozitivnom i negativnom ponašanju, kao i o posljedicama koje određena ponašanja imaju.
Abstract (english) Picture book is the first book the child encounters, and with that one of the most important ones. It brings many benefits, from the influence on the child's emotions, developing knowledge about reality and imagination, the influence on development of visual awareness to development of speech, reading, expressing, etc. Precisely because of the great importance of the picture book in the child's life, it's necessary to pay special attention to its production. The first part of the paper is about the theory of the picture book, it includes the history of the picture book in the world and in Croatia from 16th century until today's modern multimedia picture books. It also includes partition of picture books by type, form, structure of presentation, content, art technique and participation of recipients. Since the picture books have a big role in upbringing and education, it's important to know their functions. They are: information and educational, cognitive, experiential, aesthetic and fun function. Since it's also important to know how to pick the picture book, the types of picture books which have a positive influence on speech, aesthetic and thought development are mentioned. The second part of the paper is a practical part and it includes the creation of the picture book; plan and process, needed materials, choosing an illustration and work Photoshop. Illustrations for the picture book „Mixed magic orchestra“ were created by the technique of textile design, so they could, through the softness of the scene, be as close to preschool children as possible. A small amount of picture books is created by this technique, which makes them even more special. It was intended that, besides being close to the children by the fable, the picture book would be close to the children by the variety of materials from which it was made and primarily to be the inspiration for the child's imagination, creativity and thinking beyond the customary framework. The picture book is also of educational nature and through vocabulary close to children it sends a clear message about positive and negative behavior as well as the consequences that certain behaviors have.
