Abstract
Tema ovog diplomskog rada odnosi se na aktualnu problematiku povezanu sa sve većim brojem prekomjerno teške ili pretile djece. Suvremeni način života pogoduje sve manjom tjelesnom aktivnošću što dovodi do iznimno velikih oboljenja različite vrste. U istraživanju 2016. godine na uzorku predškolske djece iz dječjeg vrtića jedne ruralne sredine provelo se istraživanje o utjecaju stanja uhranjenosti i tjelesne aktivnosti na cjelokupni rast i razvoj djeteta. Budući je problematika ove teme sve zastupljenija u vrtićima i općenito u društvu, ponovno se provelo istraživanje na uzorku djece urbane sredine pod određenim hipotezama na temelju kojih su donesena temeljna polazišta kao smjernice daljnjih djelovanja u praksi. Cilj rada je bio utvrditi razlike u stanju uhranjenosti i tjelesnoj aktivnosti djece predškolske dobi s obzirom na spol (dječaci, djevojčice) i mjesto stanovanja (grad, selo). Utvrđeno je kako na ispitanom uzorku djece nema statistički značajnih razlika ni u jednoj od ispitanih korelacija, osim u razlici antropometrijskih karakteristika dječaka iz grada Zaboka u odnosu na djevojčice, kao i u odnosu na uzorak populacije iz ruralne sredine Svetog Križa Začretja. Dobiveni rezultati idu u prilog nekim od prije provedenih istraživanja na temelju kojih su doneseni zaključci o nepostojanju statistički značajne razlike između djece iz grada i sela. Veliki se naglasak stavlja na buduća istraživanja u kojima bi se u obzir trebale uzeti prehrambene navike djece koje po nekim autorima značajnije od tjelesne aktivnosti utječu na status uhranjenosti pojedinog djeteta.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this thesis concerns the current issues of the increasing number of overweight and obese children. The modern way of living accommodates a lifestyle of decreased physical activities, which leads to different types of diseases. A 2016 study taken on a sample from pre-school children of a rural kindergarten reflected on the effects of nutrition and physical activities to children's development and growth. Due to these issues being raised more frequently both in kindergartens and society in general, another study was taken on a sample of urban children. Hypotheses of this study served as a foundation for future practical measurements. The aim of this thesis is to affirm the differences in nutritional statuses and physical activity levels of pre-school children depending on sex (boys, girls) and location (city, country). The study confirmed that - for the tested sample of children - there were no statistically relevant differences for none of the examined correlations, except the differences in anthropometric variables between boys and girls from Zabok and from Sveti Križ Začretje. Accumulated study results supplement past studies which have proven that there are no statistically relevant differences between children from the city and children from the country. Significant importance is placed on future studies to also consider the eating habits which, per some authors, affect the nutritional status of a child even more than the level of physical activity.
