The works are intended for a wider audience with the purpose of raising awareness of current topics, endangered species and their threats, ecological problems and environmental preservation. Unsustainable management and damage to the integrity of coastal and marine habitats are the main reasons for the reduction of biodiversity in the Adriatic, as well as overfishing, destruction of habitats, natural coasts and marine ecosystems. Previous research has established an alarming amount of marine waste and raised citizens' awareness of this problem. This also applies to animals tied to the coast and along the coast and on land. The human impact on the marine ecosystem is increasingly present and recognized today. Understanding and recognizing the importance of the problem is the first step towards solving and saving marine species that are on the brink of extinction.
