Abstract
Sistemski eritemski lupus (SLE) kronična je autoimuna bolest vezivnog tkiva koja može zahvatiti različite organe i organske sustave. SLE je neizlječiva bolest dugotrajne i mukotrpne prirode s izrazito širokim spektrom kliničkih manifestacija. S obzirom na specifičnu prirodu bolesti, SLE utječe na sve aspekte života oboljelih – osim na fizičko zdravlje, SLE može imati različite implikacije na psihosocijalni aspekt života pojedinca. Kliničke manifestacije mogu biti prepreka oboljelima za obavljanje svakodnevnih zadataka, dok neuropsihijatrijske manifestacije i percepcija bolesti mogu biti prepreka u socijalnom funkcioniranju. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je dobiti uvid u iskustva osoba mlađe životne dobi oboljelih od SLE-a u svakodnevnom životu. Provedeni su polustrukturirani intervjui s oboljelima, a tematskom analizom utvrđeno je da oboljeli percipiraju poteškoće u vidu izazova u svakodnevnom životu, društvenom, akademskom te poslovnom okruženju.
Abstract (english)
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects connective tissue and can affect various organs and organ systems. SLE is an incurable disease with a prolonged and arduous nature, characterized by an exceptionally wide range of clinical manifestations. Given the specific nature of the disease, SLE impacts all aspects of patients' lives – in addition to physical health, SLE can have various implications on the psychosocial aspect of an individual's life. Clinical manifestations can hinder patients from performing everyday tasks, while neuropsychiatric manifestations and the perception of the disease can be obstacles in social functioning. The aim of this master thesis was to gain insight into the experiences of younger individuals living with SLE in their daily lives. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with patients, and thematic analysis revealed that they perceive difficulties in the form of challenges in daily life, social, academic, and professional environments.
