Abstract
Jedna od temeljnih društvenih vrijednosti, kako u svijetu, tako i u Hrvatskoj, je očuvanje i briga o zdravlju društvene zajednice. Svim građanima je, na principima djelovanja socijalne države, osigurana adekvatna zdravstvena usluga tijekom cijelog života. Kroz komparativni prikaz zdravstvene zaštite u Hrvatskoj, Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama i Švedskoj upoznajemo se sa specifičnim obilježjima i različitim načinima financiranja zdravstvenog sustava u svijetu. Zbog činjenice da hrvatsko društvo prolazi kroz velike društveno – ekonomske promjene, svjedoci smo brojnih problema i dilema koji se vežu uz hrvatski zdravstveni sustav, kao što su prvenstveno problemi financijske nestabilnosti i neodrživosti. Iako smo proveli niz zdravstvenih reformi i dalje tražimo učinkovite načine organizacije zdravstvenog sustava. Jedno od idejnih rješenja, koji bi trebalo uspostaviti stabilnost sustava, je ideja privatizacije. Krajnji cilj je stvoriti takav zdravstveni sustav koji će zadovoljiti potrebe građana, znati se nositi s problemima suvremenoga društva i služiti daljnjem gospodarskom razvitku zemlje.
Abstract (english)
One of the fundamental social values, both in the world and in Croatia, is to preserve and care about the health of the community. All citizens are provided with adequate health care throughout their lives on the principles of the welfare state. Through a comparative overview of health care in Croatia, the United States and Sweden, we are getting acquainted with the specific features and different ways of financing the health system in the world. Due to the fact that Croatian society is undergoing major socio - economic changes, we are witnessing a number of problems and dilemmas that are linked to the Croatian health system, such as the problems of financial instability and unsustainability. Although we have implemented a number of healthcare reforms, we are still looking for effective ways to organize the health system. One of the conceptual solutions that should establish system stability is the idea of privatization. The ultimate goal is to create such a health system that will meet the needs of citizens, be able to cope with the problems of modern society and serve the country's further economic development.
