Abstract
U radu autor analizira razvoj i ideologiju domaćeg terorizma na Zapadu te djelovanje terorista s naglaskom na period između 1970.-2020. godine. Koristeći terorističke manifeste kao izvore te relevantnu literaturu autor predstavlja zajedničke karakteristike alt-right ideologije koja obuhvaća motive i ideje domaćih terorista Zapada. Rad prvo predstavlja povijesni razvoj prije spomenute ideologije terorista, a zatim kronološki analizira četiri istaknuta napada i njihove počinitelje. Kroz analizu napada i počinitelja te komparaciju izvora autor ukazuje na svojstvene sastavnice domaćeg terorizma Zapada. Rad se osvrće i na utjecaj tehnološkog napretka na uspostavu novih načina rasta alt-right ideologija te na promjenu okruženja u kojem se alt-right ideologije propagiraju. Zaključno rad ukazuje na neprekinutu nit reakcionarne ideologije koja biva popraćena terorističkim napadima diljem Zapada.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis author analyses growth and ideology of domestic terrorism in the West with the emphasis on the terrorist actions undertaken in the period from 1970 to 2020. By using terrorist manifestos as sources and with the help of relevant literature, author presents common characteristics of the alt-right ideology which in turn encompasses motives and ideas behind the domestic terrorists in the West. The thesis firstly shows the historical development of the aforementioned ideas and ideology and afterwards it chronologically follows four prominent terrorist attacks and their perpetrators. Through the analysis of the attacks and perpetrators by comparing sources, author points out distinctive components of domestic terrorism. Thesis likewise tackles the question of technological advancement and its influence in formation of new pathways and environment in which alt-right ideologies thrive and propagate. In conclusion the thesis reveals an unbroken thread of reactionary ideology which outside its theoretical framework becomes followed by terrorist attack throughout the West.
