Abstract Uvod: Jednodnevna kirurgija (JDK) podrazumijeva izvođenje terapijskog postupka i odlazak kući u istom danu. Takav način liječenja je idealan za djecu i roditelje, jer je stres i strah od boravka u bolnici sveden na minimum. Pružanje zdravstvene skrbi preko jednodnevne dječje kirurgije (JDDK) može uvelike povećati zadovoljstvo roditelja i percepciju kvalitete pruženih zdravstvenih usluga.
Cilj: Cilj istraživanja je ispitati zadovoljstvo roditelja organizacijom rada na Odjelu ORL JDDK te detektirati potencijalna područja za poboljšanje.
Metode: Istraživanje je presječna prospektivna studija koja je provedena u DB Srebrnjak na Odjelu ORL JDDK u razdoblju od 01. siječnja 2021. do 01. lipnja 2021. godine. Ispitao se uzorak od 100 ispitanika. Ispitanici su bili roditelji, skrbnici ili pratnja djece koja su dolazila na operaciju u DB Srebrnjak. Pristupalo im se na Odjelu ORL JDDK prije otpusta kući sa zamolbom da ispune upitnik uz osiguranje dobrovoljnosti i anonimnosti. Za potrebe istraživanja koristio se validirani upitnik o zadovoljstvu pacijenata pruženom skrbi u dnevnoj bolnici pod nazivom „Core questionnaire for the assessment of Patient Satisfaction – Day care“ (COPS-D). Upitnik je preveden na hrvatski jezik i modificiran za potrebe istraživanja.
Rezultati: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 89 ispitanika ženskog spola i 11 ispitanika muškog spola. Najveći broj ispitanika je u dobnoj skupini od 31-40 godina, njih 60. Uzimajući u obzir stručnu spremu ispitanika, prevladavaju ispitanici sa srednjom stručnom spremom, njih 45. Rezultati su pokazali visoku razinu zadovoljstva na svim ispitanim područjima. Na području pitanja prijeoperacijske pripreme, Odjela ORL JDDK, operacijske sale i sestrinske skrbi zadovoljno je svih 100 ispitanika. Liječničkom skrbi zadovoljno je 98 ispitanika, informacijama 99 ispitanika, a 97 ispitanika iskazalo je zadovoljstvo na području autonomije. Cjelokupnom organizacijom rada zadovoljno je svih 100 ispitanika. Ispitanici su najmanju razinu zadovoljstva iskazali kod pitanja o osobnom pristupu liječnika i privatnošću, tijekom posjete i pregleda, te su to područja za poboljšanje rada Odjela ORL JDDK.
Zaključak: Temeljem dobivenih rezultata, potvrđena je hipoteza da će većina roditelja biti zadovoljna organizacijom rada Odjela ORL JDDK te su detektirana područja na kojima su moguća dodatna poboljšanja.
Abstract (english) Introduction: One-day surgery (ODS) involves performance of a therapeutic procedure and the patient going home on the same day. This type of treatment is ideal for children and parents, because it minimises the stress and fear of being in the hospital. Providing health care through one-day paediatric surgery (ODPS) can greatly increase parental satisfaction and perceptions of the quality of health services provided.
Aim: The aim of the research is to examine parents' satisfaction with the organization of work at the ENT Department of ODPS and to identify potential areas for improvement.
Methods: The research is a cross-sectional prospective study conducted in DB Srebrnjak at the ENT Department of ODPS in the period from January 1, 2021 to June 1, 2021. Research sample consisted of 100 subjects. Subjects were parents, guardians or escorts of children who came to the operation in DB Srebrnjak. They were approached at the ODPS ENT Department before being discharged home with a request to complete a questionnaire while ensuring voluntariness and anonymity. For the purposes of the research, a validated questionnaire on patient satisfaction with the care provided in a day hospital called "Core questionnaire for the assessment of Patient Satisfaction - Day care" (COPS-D) was used. The questionnaire was translated into Croatian and modified for research purposes.
Results: The study involved 89 female subjects and 11 male subjects. The largest number of respondents is in the age group of 31-40 years, 60 of them. Regarding the qualifications of the respondents, respondents with secondary education are predominant, 45 of them. The results showed a high level of satisfaction in all surveyed areas. In the area of preoperative preparation, ENT Department ODPS, operating room and nursing care, all 100 respondents were satisfied. 98 respondents were satisfied with medical care, 99 with information, and 97 expressed satisfaction in the field of autonomy. All 100 respondents are satisfied with the overall organization of work. Respondents expressed the lowest level of satisfaction when asked about the personal approach of the doctor and privacy, during the visit and examination, and these are areas for improving the work of the Department of ENT ODPS.
Conclusion: Based on the obtained results, the hypothesis that the majority of parents will be satisfied with the organization of the work of the ENT Department of ODPS was confirmed and areas where further improvements are possible were identified.
