Abstract
Na temelju arhivske građe iz Muzejsko kazališne zbirke Odsjeka za povijest hrvatskog kazališta u sklopu Zavoda za povijest hrvatske književnosti, kazališta i glazbe HAZU, te odabrane domaće i strane literature diskutirat će se o odnosu kulture i politike unutar repertoara Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u Zagrebu od 1895. do 1995. godine. U obzir će se uzeti kulturni, umjetnički i politički utjecaj i značaj intendanata te pojedinih članova uprave kazališta na odabrane izvedene premijere i praizvedbe sva tri ansambla. Budući da će se promatrati razdoblje od sto godina, nastojat će se odgovoriti na pitanje radi li se o borbi ili suradnji kulture i politike na primjeru opernih, baletnih i kazališnih izvedbi Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u Zagrebu, te može li se definirati granica između umjetničke slobode i političke propagande nametnute kulturnoj ustanovi Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u Zagrebu ovisno o političkim sustavima i ideologijama.
Abstract (english)
On the basis of archival materials from the Museum Theatrical Collection of the Division for the History of the Croatian Theater within the Institute for the History of Croatian Literature, Theater and Music of HAZU, as well as selected domestic and foreign literature, the relationship between culture and politics will be discussed within the repertoire of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb from 1895 until 1995. The cultural, artistic and political influence and significance of the intendants and individual members of the theater administration on the selected premieres and first performances of all three ensembles will be taken into account. Since a period of one hundred years will be observed, an attempt will be made to answer the question whether there is a struggle or cooperation between culture and politics, using the example of the opera, ballet and theater performances of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, and whether it is possible to define the border between artistic freedom and political propaganda imposed on the cultural institution of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb depending on political systems and ideologies.
