Monitoring performance and performance is very important for the company and performing its core business in general. Therefore, in this work, five units will attempt to define work performance and point to their significance on the example of the company Valamar Riviera d.d. In the first and second part of the paper, human resources management, teaching and human resource development as well as standards and teaching programs will be presented with special emphasis on cultural assimilation at work abroad. The value of human resources for organization, human resource management as a business function and the goals and principles of human resources management will also be addressed. The third part of the paper will be to define the concept of performance, work performance appraisal, performance performance criteria, benchmarking methods and assessment scale as well as how to determine individual performance. In the fourth part, a concrete example of performance measurement will be presented at Valamar Riviera d.d.
