Abstract
U ovom radu obrađena je tematika žene i njenog miraza koji je dobivala prilikom udaje, te darova i prstena prema odredbama Statuta grada Dubrovnika iz 13. stoljeća. Uz dubrovački, korišteni su korčulanski, rapski, zadarski i kotorski statut. U radu je prikazana bračna veza i njezino značenje u obitelji i društvu u tom vremenu, kao i položaj žene u srednjem vijeku. Dotaknuti su i osobni odnosi u braku kao i imovinski odnosi. Pojam miraza pojašnjen je kako bi se izoštrila slika vremena u kojem se djevojku spremalo za udaju. S druge strane, darovi i prstenje koje je darivao muž, također su bili dio ceremonijalnih običaja opisanih i reguliranih u odredbama Statuta. Iz svega se može zaključiti da su vjenčanje, miraz i darovi bili dio duge tradicije koja je bila osnažena kodifikacijom 1272. godine. Odredbe dubrovačkog Statuta usporedilo se s odredbama srodnih dalmatinskih gradova. Usporedbe statutarnih odredbi potvrdile su očekivane sličnosti reguliranja tradicijskih odnosa jer se ipak radilo o geografski bliskim područjima, ali i njihove uzajamne različitosti.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the subject of a woman and her dowry and fries, which she receives during her marriage, as well as gifts and rings, all of which are described in the Statute of the City of Dubrovnik from the 13th Century. Relevant literature was used in addition to the Statute. The paper presents the marital relationship and its meaning in the family and society at that time, as well as the position of women in the Middle Ages. The paper also deals with personal marital relations as well as property relations. The very concept of dowry was clarified in order to get a better picture of how a girl was getting married at the time and what made the family obliged, how to prepare and fulfill the conditions of marrying a daughter. On the other hand, the gifts and rings donated by the husband are also stated exactly in what situations and how they are donated. So this was not left to the case, but the rules had to be observed as stated in the Dubrovnik statute. At the very end of the paper, the customs of the Statute of the City of Dubrovnik were compared with the customs to be adhered according to Korčula, Rab, Zadar and Kotor statutes. When comparing the statutes, similarities and differences in individual areas are visible. Although the geographical areas are very close, each of them has its own rules and traditions.
