Abstract Identifikacija drva je grana znanosti anatomije drva.
i mikroskopskog identificiranja.
Abstract (english) Wood identification is a branch of the science of wood anatomy. Knowledge of wood
identification is essential when it comes to distinguishing materials. Wood has certain
mechanical, aesthetic, physical, chemical and anatomical properties that help to further
distinguish of certain wood types.
This paper is designed to serve as a manual that will guide the reader through stages of
identification and ultimately to the identification of the wood itself. Macroscopic and microscopic identification methods were used to identify wood in this paper. The two methods
differ in the magnitude of magnification at which the sample is prepared.
Based on the macroscopic characteristics of the wood, a large database and many
diagnostic keys were created to help obtain the required wood identity. These databases contain
information and characteristics of tree general in the form of requested characteristics contained
in keys, illustrated contents that link groups of general or tree families of similar characteristics.
All the above information was collected at various universities and by various authors.
For the microscopic identification method, five native types of wood were used in the
work, which are most commonly used in the restoration workshop. In microscopic photographs,
features are identified to assist identification. The paper ends with a glossary of professional
terms, accompanied by the pictorial content of certain parts of the anatomy of the wood, and a
conclusion.
