Abstract
Tršćanska kriza predstavljala je prvi hladnoratovski sukob na tlu Europe. Iako je temi dosada pridavano dosta pažnje, autori nisu dovoljno osviještavali činjenicu da je upravo ova kriza bila prvi sukob podijeljene Europe. Korijeni krize sežu daleko u prošlost, još od talijanskog ˝risorgimenta˝ u 19. stoljeću. Geostrateška važnost i različita etnička slika grad i šire okolice činili su da ovo područje bude zanimljivo i jugoslavenskoj i talijanskoj vlasti. Brojnost subjekata uključenih u rješavanje krize slučaj čini posebno zanimljiv, pogotovo zbog vlastitih interesa svake države koje su htjeli ostvariti. Iako su Italija i Jugoslavija jedine imale izravni interes u rješavanju tršćanskog spora u smislu teritorijalne cjelovitosti, kroz ovaj mikroslučaj nazirale su se i konture buduće blokovske podjele. Kriza koja je trajala osam godina govori tome u prilog.
Abstract (english)
The Trieste crisis represents the first Cold War conflict in Europe. Although the topic has been the subject of much attention so far, the authors are not sufficiently aware of the fact that it was this crisis that was the first conflict to divide Europe. The roots of the crisis go far back to the Italian "risorgimento" in the 19th century. The geostrategic importance and the different ethnic image of the city and its wider surroundings make this area interesting for both the Yugoslav and Italian authorities The number of entities involved in resolving the crisis makes it particularly interesting, especially because of the own interests of each state that they wanted to achieve. Although Italy and Yugoslavia were the only ones with direct interests in resolving the Trieste dispute in terms of territorial integrity, the contours of the future bloc division were also seen through this micro-case. The crisis that lasted for eight years speaks in favor of that.
