Abstract
Sve veća informatizacija, razvoj novih tehnologija kriptiranja, a s time i preseljenje trgovine u naše domove dovodi i do pojave digitalnog novca, što je tema i srţ ovoga rada. S tim u vezi detaljno se razraĊuju pojmovi kao sto su digitalni novac, kriptografija, blockchain tehnologija, virtualne valute, kriptovalute, s naglaskom na Bitcoin. Istaţivanjem unutar rada nastoje se dodatno ispitati mišljenja i stavovi graĊana Republike Hrvatske o korištenju i poznavanju digitalnih valuta. Problem koji se susreće u pisanju ovoga rada je nedovoljna formalna razrada virtualnih valuta i kriptovaluta od strane ekonomskih institucija Republike Hrvatske pri ĉemu se oĉituje nesklad izmeĊu ekonomskih stajališta te onim informatiĉkih.
Abstract (english)
Increasing digitalization, the development of new encryption technologies, and thus the relocation of trade to our homes, leads to the emergence of digital money, which is the topic and core of this paper. In this regard, concepts such as digital money, cryptography, blockchain technology, virtual currencies, cryptocurrencies, with an emphasis on Bitcoin, are elaborated in detail. Research within the paper seeks to further examine the opinions and attitudes of the citizens of the Republic of Croatia on the knowledge and use of digital currencies. The problem encountered in writing this paper is the insufficient formal elaboration of virtual currencies and cryptocurrencies by the economic institutions of the Republic of Croatia, whereby there is a discrepancy between the economic views and the IT ones.
