Painful shoulder is the most common condition encountered by orthopedic surgeons and accounts for approximately 20% of pathology of the musculoskeletal system. Shoulder function is extremely important not only during work or sports, but also during daily activities, and among other things during feeding, personal hygiene and dressing, so it is important to identify the etiology and diagnose the condition in order to start adequate treatment. Shoulder problems can also occur as an acute event, most often after shoulder injuries. Depending on the etiology and stage of the disease, treatment can be conservative or surgical with continued rehabilitation. Through the work, a group of respondents who were treated at the Axis Special Hospital in the period from 2015-2019 was processed. years on a sample of 46 respondents. The causes of one of the causes of painful shoulder - rupture of the rotator cuff and data on the success of the operative method of treatment were statistically processed.
