Abstract Komunikacija je sastavni dio poslovnoga ali i svakodnevnog života te ključ uspješnog poslovanja u međunarodnim okvirima. Iako je komunikacija jednostavna i univerzalna pojava, mora se prilagoditi određenim poslovnim situacijama kako bi bila što učinkovitija i uspješnija. Korištenje samo naših urođenih komunikacijskih vještina često je nedovoljno za uspješnu poslovnu komunikaciju. Pregovaranje je jedan od osnovnih oblika ljudske komunikacije, kojeg često koristimo i kad nismo svjesni. Proces pregovaranja uključuje uspostavljanje ravnoteže između dviju strana tako da pregovarač ne samo dobije ono što želi, već i da dobije ono što želi na najbolji mogući način. Kao rezultat globalizacije, u poslovnim krugovima međunarodni pregovori zauzimaju sve važniju ulogu. Naime, kulturni kontekst oblikuje pregovaračke aktivnosti. Pregovori u sličnim kulturama razlikuju se od pregovora između kulturno različitih strana. Stavovi, uvjerenja i tradicija utječu na pregovarački proces. U novije doba, virtualni pregovori postaju sve popularniji u modernom društvu jer većina ljudi ima pristup internetu. Mnogo je čimbenika koji utječu na tijek pregovora. Najtipičniji čimbenici koji utječu na to kako će se pregovori odvijati su vrijeme, okruženje, osobnosti, informacije, osobni problemi i hijerarhija.
Uspješno pregovaranje može se definirati kao interakcija s ciljem postizanja povoljnog ishoda. Smatra se jednom od najučinkovitijih poslovnih vještina. Koriste ga ljudi koji žele postići svoje ciljeve bez previše (ili uopće) kompromisa. Pomaže vam da dobijete ono što želite i trebate od situacije ili pojedinca.
Od vitalne je važnosti za organizacije da posvete vrijeme, novac i energiju za učenje o dobrim pregovaračkim vještinama. Danas se sve više tvrtki širi međunarodno i ne mogu izbjeći kulturološke razlike. Mnoge tvrtke, bez obzira velike ili male, čine istu pogrešku pristupajući novom nepoznatom tržištu na isti način na koji bi pristupile svojim domaćim tržištima.
Iznajmljivanje brodova važan je proces jer osigurava da se tereti organizacije dostave sigurno na najisplativiji način. Proces najma brodova odvija se na charter tržištu od strane stranaka koje ulaze na tržište želeći zadovoljiti potrebe za prijevoznim kapacitetom (unajmitelji) i oni koji imaju raspoložive brodove (brodari). Proces iznajmljivanja brodova olakšavaju posrednici (brodski agenti).
Abstract (english) Communication is an integral part of business as well as everyday life and the key to successful business in international frameworks. Although communication is a simple and universal phenomenon, it must be adapted to specific business situations in order to be as effective and successful as possible. Using only our innate communication skills is often insufficient for successful business communication. Negotiation is one of the basic forms of human communication, which we often use even when we are not aware of it. The negotiation process involves striking a balance between the two parties so that the negotiator not only gets what he wants, but also gets what he wants in the best possible way. As a result of globalization, international negotiations play an increasingly important role in business circles. Namely, the cultural context shapes negotiation activities. Negotiations in similar cultures are different from negotiations between culturally different parties. Attitudes, beliefs and traditions influence the negotiation process. In recent times, virtual negotiations are becoming more and more popular in modern society because most people have access to the Internet. There are many factors that influence the course of negotiations. The most typical factors that affect how a negotiation will go are time, environment, personalities, information, personal problems, and hierarchy. A successful negotiation can be defined as an interaction with the aim of reaching a beneficial outcome. It is considered one of the most effective business skills. It’s used by people who want to achieve their goals without compromising too much (or at all). It helps you get what you want and need from a situation or individual.
It is vital for organizations to dedicate time, money and energy to learn about good negotiation skills. Nowadays more companies are expanding internationally and they cannot avoid cultural differences. Many companies regardless large or small are making the same mistake by approaching the new unfamiliar market the same way that they would their domestic markets.
Ship chartering is an important process as it ensures that the organisation's cargoes get delivered safely in the most cost-effective manner. The process of chartering ships takes place on the charter market by parties who enter the market wanting to meet the needs for transport capacity (charterer) and those who have available ships (shipowners). The process of renting ships is facilitated by intermediaries (ship agents).
