This paper deals with the types of heat sources of the heat sink. The basic operation principles of the heat pumps, its main parts and imporatant parameters such as the coefficient of performance and the heat output, by which heat pumps are differed, are described in the introduction,. The following is about ground, water and air as transmitters and heat accumulators created by the action of geothermal and solar energy. Various designs of already existing heating systems with the heat pumps have been described. All heating systems with heat pumps are set to meet the requirements of lower power consumption, lower cost of the project and design of the heating system, and their easy maintenance. It is preferable to provide those systems with a heat source available all year round with approximately constant temperature, and to lower power consumption and increase reliability of the system itself. Since the use of heat pumps has minimal, almost negligible damaging effects on the environment and offers drastic savings over the use of other energy sources, it is becoming more and more common, even the first choice when choosing heating mode for both large and small area of space.
