Abstract Predmet diplomskog rada je proučavanje društveno odgovornog poslovanja bankarskog
sektora u Republici Hrvatskoj s ciljem utvrđivanja posluju li banke društveno odgovorno te
prepoznaje li javnost provedene inicijative banaka. U radu su korištene sljedeće metodologije:
metoda analize, metoda sinteze, metoda deskripcije, metoda ankete, metoda deskriptivne i
inferencijalne statistike, kvalitativna analiza i komparativna metoda. Podaci o stavovima
klijenata banaka prikupljani su metodom ankete te su obrađeni alatima deskriptivne i
inferencijalne statistike odnosno primjenom regresijske analize, F-testa, t-testa i Hi-kvadrat
testa te Pearsonovog i Spearmanovog koeficijenta korelacije. Inferencijalnom statistikom
testirane su istraživačke hipoteze. Glavnom hipotezom utvrđeno je posluju li banke u
Republici Hrvatskoj na načelima koncepta društveno odgovornog poslovanja. Pomoćnim
hipotezama testirane su razlike između ispitanika s obzirom na sociodemografska obilježja
radi utvrđivanja uzroka rezultata glavne hipoteze, odnosno poznaju li ispitanici pojam
društveno odgovornog poslovanja, razlikuju li se mišljenja ispitanika na temelju
sociodemografskih obilježja te koji čimbenici utječu na preferencije i odabir pružatelja
financijskih usluga. Na temelju podataka dobivenih anketnim istraživanjem, metodom
komparacije izrađena je usporedba Zagrebačke banke d.d. i Privredne banke Zagreb d.d. s
ciljem utvrđivanja u kojoj mjeri njihovi klijenti prepoznaju društveno odgovorne aktivnosti
promatranih banaka.
Abstract (english) The subject of the graduate thesis is to study the corporate social responsibility in the banking
sector in the Croatia with a view to determining whether the banks are doing business socially
responsible and does the public recognize the initiatives of banks. The following
methodologies were used in this paper: method of analysis, synthesis method, descriptive
method, survey method, descriptive and inferential statistics, qualitative analysis and
comparative method. Data on the attitudes of bank clients were collected by the survey
method and processed using tools of descriptive and inferential statistics i.e. using regression
analysis, F-test, t-test, Chi-squared test and Pearson's correlation coefficient and Spearman's
rank correlation coefficient. Research hypotheses were tested by inferential statistics. With the
main hypothesis were found whether banks in the Croatia do business on the principles of the
concept of corporate social responsibility. With the auxiliary hypotheses were tested the
differences between the respondents with regard to socio-demographic characteristics in order
to determine the causes of result of the main hypothesis, i.e. whether the respondents know
the concept of corporate social responsibility, whether the opinions of the respondents differ
based on socio-demographic characteristics and which factors influence the preferences and
choice of financial services providers. Based on the data obtained by the survey method, with
the comparative method were made comparison of the Zagrebačka banka d.d. and the
Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. with a view of determining to what extent their clients recognize
the socially responsible activities of the observed banks.
