Abstract (english) Pregnancy or childbearing is one of the most important periods of every woman. This is the age when major physiological changes occur in almost every body system, and the intensity of the change changes depending on the period of pregnancy in which the pregnant woman is. In this way, the physiotherapist influences the improvement of function during pregnancy and prepares the pregnant woman for childbirth by applying his knowledge and skills in physiotherapeutic intervention. Many studies point to the benefits of exercise during pregnancy for both the pregnant woman and the fetus. There is an increase in cardiorespiratory fitness and reduced risk of developing gastric diabetes, hypertension, pregnancy complications and better control of body weight is ensured. Pregnant women who carry out exercise programs during pregnancy have a shorter delivery time, fewer birth complications and they recover faster. On the psychological side, pregnant women feel better after exercise. Fatigue, insomnia and anxiety decrease and the general state of the body improves.
In order to exercise safely, it is necessary to pay attention to the absolute and relative contraindications described in the paper. Each workout should include aerobic exercises, strength exercises, stretching and relaxation exercises. In the following paper, exercises that can be performed for specific trimesters as well as protective positions during pregnancy, self-correction of posture and, finally, positioning in high-risk pregnancies are shown.
