Abstract Crowdfunding je dio alternativnog načina financiranja. Razvio se početkom 21. stoljeća, od tada se neprestano razvija te u posljednjem desetljeću postaje sve utjecajniji način financiranja. Neki od najvažnijih razloga za njegov razvoj svakako su uzlet globalnih tržišta, nedostatak fleksibilnosti kod ustaljenih tradicionalnih izvora financiranja te smanjenje troškova financiranja. Radi se o vrlo transparentnom obliku financiranja gdje se u svakom trenutku putem on-line platformi može točno vidjeti koliko je novca prikupljeno za svaki pojedini projekt te koliko ukupno ljudi je sudjelovalo u financiranju projekta. Platforma za crowdfunding je internetski servis koji spaja vlasnike projekata i njihove potencijalne ulagače. Postoje različiti modeli crowdfundinga pomoću kojih je definiran odnos prema investitorima. Najosnovnija podjela crowdfundinga je u dvije skupine: crowdfunding s financijskim povratom i crowdfunding bez financijskog povrata. Kao i svaki drugi izvor financiranja i crowdfunding ima određene nedostatke. Neki od nedostataka svakako su mnogobrojne mogućnosti prijevara i pranja novca, nepostojanje sekundarnog tržišta, drugačiji pristup od tradicionalnog te mogućnost prijevare. Za razliku od tradicionalnog investiranja, kod crowdfundinga potencijalni ulagači nemaju osobni kontakt ili neko veće saznanje od onoga što je objavljeno na samoj crowdfunding platformi, postoji vrlo mala mogućnost provjere porijekla novca, pa se i na taj način u određenim situacijama može sumnjati na nezakonito porijeklo novca i na kazneno djelo pranja novca. Crowdfunding u Republici Hrvatskoj počeo se značajnije razvijati tek posljednjih nekoliko godina ali nije na razini razvijenosti kao što je to u stranim razvijenim zemljama. Neki od najznačajnijih razloga sporijeg razvoja svakako je relativno mali broj stanovnika, slaba informatička pismenost te nepovjerenje prema elektroničkom poslovanju. Potencijal za daljnji razvoj crowdfundinga u Hrvatskoj je velik, njegova popularnost raste ponajviše zbog olakšanog pristupa prema globalnom tržištu. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je istražiti poznavanje pojedinaca o mogućnostima financiranja poduzetničkih pothvata u Republici Hrvatskoj i investiranju u tuđe projekte crowdfundingom.
Abstract (english) Crowdfunding is part of an alternative way of financing. It was developed at the beginning of the 21st century, since then it has been constantly developed and in the last decade it has become an increasingly influential method of financing. Some of the most important reasons for its development are certainly the rise of global markets, the lack of flexibility with established traditional sources of financing, and the reduction of financing costs. It is a very transparent form of financing where you can see exactly how much money has been collected for each individual project and how many people have participated in the financing of the project at any time via the online platform. The crowdfunding platform is an online service that connects project owners and their potential investors. There are different crowdfunding models that define the relationship with investors. The most basic division of crowdfunding is into two groups: crowdfunding with financial return and crowdfunding without financial return. Like any other source of financing, crowdfunding has certain disadvantages. Some of the disadvantages are certainly numerous opportunities for fraud and money laundering, the absence of a secondary market, a different approach from the traditional one, and the possibility of fraud. Unlike traditional investing, with crowdfunding potential investors do not have personal contact or any greater knowledge than what is published on the crowdfunding platform itself, there is very little possibility of checking the origin of the money, so even in this way, in certain situations, the illegal origin of the money and money laundering can be suspected. Crowdfunding in the Republic of Croatia began to develop more significantly in the last few years, but it is not at the level of development as it is in foreign developed countries. Some of the most significant reasons for slower development are certainly the relatively small number of inhabitants, poor IT literacy and mistrust of electronic business. The potential for further development of crowdfunding in Croatia is great, its popularity is growing mainly due to easier access to the global market. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the knowledge of individuals about the possibilities of financing entrepreneurial ventures in the Republic of Croatia and investing in other people's projects through crowdfunding.
