Abstract Bankarski sektor jedan je od najznačajnijih gospodarskih sektora u Republici Hrvatskoj. Značajan je za cjelokupno funkcioniranje stanovništva i gospodarstva te cjelokupnu financijsku strukturu. Posebno je osjetljiv na razdoblja kriza, što je vidljivo i u posljednjoj COVID-19 krizi. U ovom radu provedeno je istraživanje o upravljanju COVID-19 pandemijom na primjeru OTP banke iz perspektive zaposlenika koji čine vrlo značajan segment bankarskog poslovanja. Cilj rada je analizirati aktivnosti upravljanja COVID-19 krizom u OTP banci u svim fazama krize (pretkrizno razdoblje, razdoblje krize, postkrizno razdoblje) iz čega proizlaze tri pomoćna cilja. Za ostvarenje pomoćnih ciljeva istraživanja provedene su deskriptivna statistička analiza, korelacijska statistička analiza te izračun prosječne ocjene za stavove ispitanika. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 147 (n) zaposlenika OTP banke, od kojih je najveći broj ispitanika zaposlen u Sektoru poslovanja s građanstvom, odnosno u raširenoj mreži poslovnica OTP banke.
Istraživanje je pokazalo da su zaposlenici OTP banke uvelike uspješnima ocijenili aktivnosti koje je provodila OTP banka u COVID-19 krizi, kao što su redovito obavještavanje o tijeku pandemijske krize, upute o sprječavanju širenja bolesti i higijenskim mjerama, organizaciju rada od kuće te ostale aktivnosti. Iz rezultata je vidljivo da najuspješnijima smatraju aktivnosti u razdoblju krize, dok manje uspješnima smatraju aktivnosti u postkriznom razdoblju. Korelacijskom analizom utvrđeno je da demografske karakteristike zaposlenika nisu u tolikoj mjeri povezane sa stavovima o uspješnosti aktivnosti upravljanja COVID-19 krizom, koliko postoje značajne korelacije između samih aktivnosti upravljanja. Ovo istraživanje obogaćuje literaturu o kriznom upravljanju u bankarskom sektoru Republike Hrvatske, ali i pruža podlogu za buduća istraživanja na relevantnu temu.
Abstract (english) The banking sector is one of the most important economic sectors in the Republic of Croatia. It is significant for the entire functioning of the population and the economy, as well as the entire financial structure. It is particularly sensitive to periods of crisis, which is also evident in the latest COVID-19 crisis. In this paper, research was conducted on the management of the COVID-19 pandemic on the example of OTP bank from the perspective of employees who make up a very significant segment of the banking business. The aim of the work is to analyze the activities of managing the COVID-19 crisis in OTP bank in all phases of the crisis (pre-crisis period, crisis period, post-crisis period), from which three auxiliary objectives arise. Descriptive statistical analysis, correlational statistical analysis and the calculation of the average score for the respondents' attitudes were carried out to achieve the auxiliary objectives of the research. 147 (n) employees of OTP Bank participated in the survey, of which the largest number of respondents were employed in the Department of Business with Citizens, i.e. in the widespread network of OTP Bank branches.
The research showed that the employees of OTP bank rated the activities carried out by OTP banka in the COVID-19 crisis as very successful, such as regular notifications about the course of the pandemic crisis, instructions on preventing the spread of the disease and hygiene measures, organizing work from home and other activities. It is evident from the results that they consider activities in the crisis period to be the most successful, while they consider activities in the post-crisis period to be less successful. Correlation analysis determined that the demographic characteristics of employees are not related to the attitudes about the success of the activities of managing the COVID-19 crisis to such an extent, as there are significant correlations between the management activities themselves. This research enriches the literature on crisis management in the banking sector of the Republic of Croatia, but also provides a basis for future research on the relevant topic.
