Abstract Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je izraditi prototip web stranice usmjerene na rani odgoj djece i prodaju edukacijskih alata, primjenjujući osnovna načela UX dizajna.
Abstract (english) The goal of this thesis was to create a prototype of a website focused on early childhood education and the sale of educational tools, applying the basic principles of UX design. A key component of the research was the continuous inclusion of user feedback, which enabled the identification and resolution of potential issues through design. The main goals included the development of a user-friendly and visually attractive prototype and ensuring a simple interaction between the user and the website, with a special emphasis on the availability and attractiveness of educational content to the target audience.
The paper includes an analysis of key aspects of UX/UI design, the history of web design development, visual elements, human psychology, technologies and the use of the Figma tool for creating prototypes. Special attention was paid to creating an intuitive and simple user experience, taking into account the diversity of digital literacy among parents. A historical overview of the development of web design provided insight into the basic principles that shaped modern practices, while visual aspects, such as color and layout, were focused on creating a pleasant and stimulating environment for users.
The LolliPop website prototype tested several key hypotheses. The first hypothesis, related to parents' interest in education and the purchase of specific tools, was confirmed through a survey that showed a significant interest of the target group. The second hypothesis, related to user navigation, was also confirmed through the click-through prototype, where respondents easily found the necessary information. The third hypothesis, related to visual design, was tested by A/B testing, which showed that visual design significantly affects the perception of professionalism and trustworthiness of the site.
This paper shows how modern web design can create functional, aesthetically appealing and socially useful platforms, supporting parents in the challenge of early childhood education.
