Abstract Razvoj umjetne inteligencije (AI) doveo je do revolucije u umjetnosti i fotografiji, omogućujući stvaranje novih umjetničkih djela uz pomoć generativnih algoritama. Fotografija je kroz povijest imala važnu ulogu u oblikovanju sjećanja i povijesti jer se smatrala vjerodostojnim prikazom stvarnosti.
U ovome radu istražiti će se tehnologija iza umjetne inteligencije te utjecaj generativne umjetne inteligencije na fotografiju i njena vjerodostojnost koja postaje upitna, što otvara pitanja o njenoj budućoj ulozi kao izvora istine te o sposobnosti ljudi da prepoznaju AI-generirane fotografije. Tehnološki napredak značajno je utjecao na kreativnost fotografa, omogućujući im da stvaraju maštovitija djela u kraćem vremenu, ali je doveo do izazova poput rušenja estetskih standarda, ugrožavanja realizma i preispitivanja originalnosti. Opisati će se alati za izradu generiranog sadržaja koji su dostupni gotovo svima, neki od njih i uz open-source kodove. Prikazati će se načini generiranja fotografija upisivanjem upita (eng. prompta) i uz pomoć alata Leonardo AI ispitati može li točno unošenje tehničkih postavki, koje se koriste u suvremenoj fotografiji, pružiti detaljnije generirane fotografije.
Uz rastuću količinu informacija i utjecaj medija, manipulacija vizualnim informacijama postaje lakša uz pojavu deepfake AI-a, dok pažnja ljudi opada. Istražiti će se potreba za regulacijom autorskih prava i kreativnog procesa u kontekstu radova generiranih umjetnom inteligencijom.
Abstract (english) The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized art and photography, enabling the creation of new works of art with the help of generative algorithms. Throughout history, photography has played an important role in shaping memory and history because it was considered a credible representation of reality.
This paper will explore the technology behind artificial intelligence and the impact of generative artificial intelligence on photography and its credibility, which is becoming questionable, which raises questions about its future role as a source of truth and the ability of humans to recognize AI-generated images. It is shown that the technological progress has significantly influenced the creativity of photographers, enabling them to create more imaginative works in a shorter time, but it has led to challenges such as breaking down aesthetic standards, endangering realism and questioning originality. Included tools for creating generated content that are available to almost everyone, some of them with open-source codes. The ways of generating photos by typing prompts will be shown and with the help of the Leonardo AI tool, it will be tested whether the correct input of technical settings, which are used in modern photography, can provide more detailed generated photos.
With the growing amount of information and the influence of the media, the manipulation of visual information becomes easier with the emergence of deepfake AI, while people's attention spans decline. The need to regulate copyright and the creative process in the context of works generated by artificial intelligence will be explored.
