Abstract
Ruptura Ahilove tetive predstavlja značajan medicinski problem koji može ozbiljno utjecati na kvalitetu života pacijenata, posebno među sportašima i aktivnim pojedincima. Ruptura se najčešće dešava kod muškaraca u dobi od 31 do 40 godine života. Većina ruputra Ahilove tetive vidljiva je na temelju kliničkog pregleda, no dijagnoza se može utvrditi i pomoću UZV Ahilove tetive. U OHBP Opće bolnice Varaždin u periodu od 2018. do 2023. godine javilo se 70 pacijenata sa ruptuom Ahilove tetive. Istraživanje je pokazalo da su rupturi podložniji muškarci njih 67 odnosno 96%. Pacijenti su se najčešće povrijedili u dobi od 35 godina. Najmlađa osoba je imala 12 godina, dok najstarija 69 godina. Većina ruptura liječila se konzervativnom metodom, dok je manji postotak liječen operativno . Ruptura Ahilove tetive predstavlja ozbiljnu ozljedu koja zahvaća uglavnom sportaše i aktivne pojedince srednje dobi, iako je također prisutna među starijim osobama s degenerativnim promjenama tetive.
Abstract (english)
Achilles tendon rupture is a significant medical problem that can seriously affect patients' quality of life, especially among athletes and active individuals. Rupture most often occurs in men between the ages of 31 and 40. Most ruptures of the Achilles tendon are visible on the basis of a clinical examination, but the diagnosis can also be established using an ultrasound of the Achilles tendon. In the period from 2018 to 2023, 70 patients with a ruptured Achilles tendon came to the OHBP of the Varaždin General Hospital. The research showed that 67 or 96% of them are more susceptible to rupture. Patients were most often injured at the age of 35. The youngest person was 12 years old, while the oldest was 69 years old. Most ruptures were treated conservatively, while a smaller percentage was treated operatively. Achilles tendon rupture is a serious injury that affects mostly athletes and active middle-aged individuals, although it is also present among older people with degenerative changes in the tendon.
