da otkrivanje novih antibiotika traje oko 10 godina i iznosi oko 300 milijuna dolara. Bakterije s
patogenih mikroorganizama.
edukacije zdravstvenih djelatnika odnosno medicinskih sestara.
Uloga medicinske sestre je edukacija pučanstva kroz sustav javnog zdravstva o općim i
specifičnim ciljevima: racionalna primjena antibiotika, promicanje zdravog stila života,
sprječavanje i suzbijanje zaraznih bolesti, utvrđivanje i praćenje antibiotske rezistencije, rano
otkrivanje zaraznih bolesti, zaštita i unapređenje zdravstva i zdravlja putem pravilne prehrane i
zdravstveno ispravne hrane, kao i higijene okoliša.
Abstract (english) Resistance to antibiotics is a very important problem of today's community, since
discovery of new antibiotics lasts for about 10 years and costs around 300 million dollars.
Bacteria can acquire resistance to antibiotics with time and become bacteria with multiple
resistance. They have a quick power adjustment DNA, which is developing a new generation of
bacteria. Survivor strains transfer their genotype to the next generation of bacteria and develop
resistance to antibiotics. It is considered that one-third of antibiotics are unnecessarily prescribed
or used antibiotics are not necessary. We must also point out the problem of the presence of
residues in food because of the use of the same in plant and animal breeding and the treatment
using 50% of all types of antibiotics. The consequences of irrational use in human medicine as
well as food consumption with the remains antibiotics leads to increased morbidity, mortality
and costs of treatment. The particular risk is their direct toxicity or carcinogenicity, impact on the
composition of the gut microflora, possible allergic reactions in sensitive people, and the
emergence of some resistance pathogenic microorganisms.
The aim of this study is to show the role of antibiotics in the application of human and
veterinary medicine and also in agribusiness, and what are the consequences on health due to the
irrational application of antibiotics with the help of education health workers and nurses.
The role of nurses is education of the population through a system of public health of
the general and specific objectives: the rational use of antibiotics, promoting of the healthy
lifestyles, prevention and control of infectious diseases, identification and monitoring of
antibiotic resistance, early detection of infectious diseases, protection and improvement of health
care and health through proper nutrition, healthy food and environmental hygiene.
