Abstract Turističke destinacije širom svijeta se natječu za svoj turistički segment paralelno s drugim destinacijama više nego ikad prije. Povećanje globalne pokretljivosti turista znači da novi konkurenti nastaju globalno, a ne samo lokalno. Osmišljeni organizirani događaji predstavljaju nadogradnju i poboljšanje osnovne turističke ponude. U cilju ostvarenja konkurentske atraktivnosti, kapitalni sadržaj turističke destinacije organizirani događaj, diferencirat će turističku destinaciju i napraviti pomak od konkurencije.Budućnost dugoročnog turizma očituje se u stvaranju čvrstih temelja održivog razvoja. Tema koja je danas nezaobilazan čimbenik razvoja turističke destinacije trebala bi se provlačiti već kroz najmlađe naraštaje. Obrazovanje o održivom razvoju turističke destinacije je moguće provesti u okviru redovitih predmeta u osnovnim školama, ali i putem izbornih predmeta, radionica, formalnim i neformalnim načinima čiji je smisao što jednostavnijim načinom definicija održivog razvoja, njegova ekonomska, ekološka i kulturna te lokalna održivost objasni mladim naraštajima te da s time postane dio općeg obrazovanja i opće kulture naših stanovnika te budućih naraštaja. Putem takvog načina djelovanja postigao bi se efekt nastajanja generacija svjesnu ciljeva održivog razvoja ali svakako i osposobljenu za očuvanje turističke destinacije i svih njenih obilježja za buduće naraštaje. Time bi sam turizam postao sastavni dio prakse života svakog stanovnika destinacije, a održivi razvoj bio bi učestalije primijenjen u svakodnevnom funkcioniranju života i razmišljanja svih generacija. Vrlo važno, svijest o potrebi očuvanja destinacije sa svih aspekata bila bi prisutna od samog početka obrazovanja u školama ali i vrtićima kroz razne igre.
Abstract (english) Tourist destinations around the world compete for your travel segment parallel to other destinations than ever before. Increasing global mobility of tourists means that new competitors arise globally, not just locally. Designed organized events are upgrading and improving primary tourist attractions. In order to achieve the competitive attractiveness, capital content of a tourist destination organized event, will differentiate tourist destination and a move from long-term. Future of tourism is reflected in the creation of a solid foundation for sustainable development. The theme that is now an indispensable factor in the development of tourist destinations should be routed through already the youngest generations. Education for sustainable development of tourist destinations is possible within the framework of regular subjects in primary schools, but also through elective courses, workshops, formal and informal ways whose meaning is as simply as possible definition of sustainable development, its economic, ecological and cultural and local sustainability explain to young generations and that with time becomes part of general education and general culture of our citizens and future generations. Through such courses of action to achieve the effect of the formation of a conscious generation of sustainable development goals but certainly qualified for the preservation of tourist destinations and all of its features for future generations. This would, tourism has become an integral part of the practice of life of each inhabitant destinations and sustainable development would be more frequently used in the daily functioning of living and thinking of all generations. Very important, the awareness of the need to preserve the destinations with all aspects would be present from the very beginning of education in schools and kindergartens or through a variety of games.
