Abstract Cilj ovog rada je pobliže ukazati koliko je franšizing postao važan i uspješan način poslovanja u međunarodnom poslovanju. Ovaj način poslovanja je u današnje vrijeme postao sve popularniji način izlazaka na tržište jer pruža određenu sigurnost i smanjuje rizik za poslovni neuspjeh. Franšizing sve više raste jer kombinira želju pojedinca za privatnim vlasništvom s vještinama velikog poduzeća. Ovakva vrsta posla poduzetnicima nudi najkraći put do uspjeha. Pored uvoda, drugo i treće poglavlje objašnjava definiciju franšizinga te karakteristike takve vrste poslovanja. Nedostatak novca danas je najveća i najčešća prepreka za širenje poduzeća, naročito manjih. Vlasnik franšize samo ulaže u razvoj i održavanje poslovnog modela, dok početno investiranje financira korisnik franšize. Takvim načinom korisnici daju ključni početni kapital za širenje posla, koji na taj način brže raste, nego bi inače rastao. U kratkom vremenskom periodu osigurava se pokrivenost tržišta, pri čemu, naravno, cjelokupnim franšiznim modelom upravlja vlasnik, odnosno davatelj franšize. Sljedeća poglavlja govore o vrstama franšize gdje se svaka vrsta pobliže objašnjava, zatim franšiznom ugovoru koji je temelj na kojem se gradi odnos između davatelja i primatelja franšizinga. Nadalje, poglavlje o franšiznom paketu objašnjava što zapravo predstavlja franšizni paket, odnosno, da je to suština franšiznog sustava jer sadržava kompletan poslovni koncept davatelja franšize. Franšizni paket je zapravo sklop svih elemenata koji čine jednu franšizu. Kao i u svakome poslu tako i u franšiznom poslovanju postoje prednosti i nedostaci. U tome poglavlju navedeni su neki od najčešćih problema, ali tako i prednosti s kojima se mogu susresti primatelj i davatelj franšize. Poglavlja koja slijede nakon prednosti i nedostataka su poglavlja koja objašnjavaju, odnosno opisuju samu važnost franšiznog poslovanja što je i glavna hipoteza ovoga rada te koliko je franšizing postao dobar model za poslovno širenje. Navedeni su i opisani razni primjeri iz svijeta. Na kraju se može zaključiti da franšizing može biti velika poslovna prilika, kako za one koji razmišljaju o poduzetništvu, tako i za one koji žele raširiti svoj posao.
Abstract (english) The aim of this study is to show more closely how the franchising has become an important and successful way of doing business in international business. This way of doing business nowadays has become more and more popular way to access the market because it provides a level of security and reduces the risk of business failure. Franchising is growing because it combines the desire for individual private property with the skills of a large company. Such business offers the shortest path to success for entrepreneurs. In addition to the introduction, the second and third chapter explains the definition of franchising and the characteristics of this kind of business. Lack of money today is the largest and the most common obstacle to the expansion of businesses, especially smaller ones. Franchise owner only invests in the development and maintenance of the business model, while the initial investment is financed by a franchisee. This way, users make a vital initial capital to expand the business, which thus grow faster than would otherwise grow. In a short period of time ensures the coverage of the market, where, of course, the totality of the franchise model is managed by the owner or franchisor. The following sections talk about the types of franchises where every types of franchise system is detailed explained, then the franchise agreement which is fundamental in determining the relationship of obligations existing between the franchisor and the franchisee. Furthermore, the section of the franchise package explains what actually constitutes a franchise package, and that it is the essence of the franchise system as it contains a complete business concept of the franchisor. The franchise package is actually a set of all the elements of the franchise business. As in every business in franchising too there are advantages and disadvantages. In this section are listed some of the most common problems, but also the benefits which franchisor and franchisees can meet. Chapters after the advantages and disadvantages are the chapters that are explaining and describing the very importance of franchising as the main hypothesis of this study and also how franchising has become a good model for business expansion. There are listed and described various examples from all over the world. In the end, we can conclude that franchising can be a great business opportunity, both for those who are thinking about running a business, and for those who want to expand their businesses.
