Abstract S obzirom na sve veću turbulentnost i konkurentnost tržišta, kompanije su sve sklonije izvođenju projekata kako bi dovele nešto inovativno i tako opstale na tržištu. Upravo zato se i pridaje sve veća pažnja proučavanju i razvijanju projektnog menadžmenta pa tako i razvijanju metodologije upravljanja projektom. Radi se o više područja upravljanja projektom, poput upravljanja nabavom i ugovaranjem, upravljanja kvalitetom, upravljanja rizicima, upravljanja sukobima i pregovaranjima, upravljanja komunikacijama i distribucijom informacija, upravljanja promjenama, upravljanja troškovima itd. Veoma je bitno ne zanemariti nijedno od tih područja i slijediti metodologiju pravilnog upravljanja jer svako područje može biti kritični faktor uspjeha projekta. Bitna je i sociokulturna dimenzija upravljanja projektom. Projetni menadžer je taj koji daje viziju, motivira, uči i inspirira tim da daje sve od sebe. U svijetu su provedene razne ankete uspješnosti projekata koje su pokazale kako postoji još puno mjesta za poboljšanje i napredak u načinu upravljanja projektima. Uspjeh projekata uvelike ovisi o pravilnom ophođenju njime To potvrđuju i primjeri izgradnje Miller Park stadiona i Glasgow tornja gdje je došlo do raznih propusta prilikom upravljanja izvođenjem projekata, što je ostavilo posljedice i na konačni rezultat.
Abstract (english) Because of the increasing turbulence and market competitiveness, companies are increasingly prone to carrying out projects to bring something innovative and that way to survive on the market. That is why more and more attention is given to the study and development of project management and to the development of project management methodology. There are several areas of project management such as procurement and contract management, quality management, risk management, conflict management and negotiation, communication management and information distribution, change management, cost management, etc. It is important not to ignore either of these areas and to follow proper methodology of managing because each of these areas can be a critical factor of project success. The socio-cultural dimension of project management is also important. The project manager is the one who gives the vision, motivates, teaches and inspires the team to give their best. Various project performance surveys have been conducted in the world and have shown that there is still room for improvement and progress in project management. That fact is proven even with the examples of the Miller Park stadium and Glasgow Tower where various failures occurred while conducting projects, which left the consequences to the final result.
