Posljednjih godina svjedoci smo povećanju cijena hrane i pića, usluga restorana i hotela, duhana, cestarina itd.
Abstract (english) Economic policy makers face many problems, and some of the major are unemployment, inflation and wages. The growth of number of employees is, in a way, a very important parameter, in some spheres even more important than unemployment. This means that unemployment analyzes should be taken and used with reserve, since analyzing the current situation in Croatia, the decline of this indicator is largely due to the departure of a working active population abroad. Since Croatia has started to emerge from the economic recession, wages have risen by about 5% over the years, according to data fromNational Bureau of Statistics. Looking at gross or net wage statistics in Croatia, average wage do not seems so bad. However, the problem is that the most of theof employees in Croatia receive below average and even minimalwages. In recent years, we have witnessed an increase in food and beverage prices, restaurant and hotel services, tobacco, toll, etc., which indicates a positive inflation rate from the end of 2016 to the present. Most economists agree that price growth is desirable if moderate andthat economic growth is regulary accompanied by inflation. In another way, inflation caused by rising taxes may not be the smartest decision. It leads to stimulating the (even) excessive growth of gray economy of small and medium-sized enterprises and the general "suffocation" of entrepreneurship, and in Croatia the drivers of the economy are the small and medium sizes enterprises that are alsothe most numerous. The aim of this paperwork is to present the situation in Croatia with regard to employment or unemployment, the state of gross and net wage, present the wage issue itself and analyze one of the more complex phenomena within each economy, which is inflation. The purpose of the paperwork is to analyze the interaction of variables that are econometrically and theoretically analyzed in the paperwork. The selected variables show that each individual variable affects each other and indicates a high correlation between them. The research is based on the estimating of the regression model using the econometric program Gretl.
