Sport as a part of the tourist offer has a growing importance and share in the development of tourism in the world, including in Croatia. Volleyball as a sport is very acceptable for all ages, due to the ability to adjust the rules, terrain and height of the network, and is increasingly present in the recreation of people with special needs. Volleyball and its various variations, as well as their presence as a part of the tourism offer, have more and more potentials and users during the active vacation. Variations of the game of volleyball with regard to the variability of the rules and the changed conditions in which the game is becoming an increasingly attractive part of the tourist offer. Volleyball is a sport that, due to its accessibility to playing on different grounds and spaces, and representation in the world, has its sporting tourist potential. Volleyball is a popular team sport where two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding the ball on the ground of the other team in accordance with organized rules. Modern volleyball was invented by a man named William G. Morgan (1870-1942) at the YMCA in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Beach volleyball originated in the early 1920s as a common domestic sport in Santa Monica, California, where families played on six-player teams and in the first courts where they settled on a beach on a playground.
