Abstract (english) | Youth entrepreneurship is a term that defines the entrepreneurial activity of the younger population. As a separate social group, young people represent a creative, driving and change-prone category of society, which in today's demographic situation, in the midst of the process of modernization and globalization, is rapidly adapting to economic development. However, by changing the fundamental values in society and the slow take on social roles, the process of independence and that individuality is prolonged. Young people find it easier to move forward in the workplace than to enter into entrepreneurial ventures where fear of failure, uncertainty and risk arise. Entrepreneurial infrastructure encourages economic growth and faster growth and development of youth entrepreneurship. There are a large number of entrepreneurial zones and support institutions in the Republic of Croatia, which support the development of entrepreneurship through their operations and space allocation. However, there is still plenty of room for progress and utilization of full capacity in the still large section of inactive enterprise infrastructure. Namely, the entrepreneurial environment in Croatia continues to be more restrictive than stimulating to entrepreneurial activity. Very restrictive components of the entrepreneurial environment are government policies under the regulatory framework, bureaucracy, administrative barriers, and barriers to entry that create a negative perception of young people about entrepreneurial careers and the status of entrepreneurs in society. Also obstacles are cultural and social norms (value system), insufficient building of entrepreneurial competences of young people in primary and secondary education, insufficient informing of young people about opportunities and programs offered within the framework of entrepreneurial activity, etc. For youth entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia in times of increasing crisis outflow of young people and potential entrepreneurial capacities, it is necessary to harmonize policies, strategies, activities, programs and other instruments that contribute to the development of entrepreneurial culture and strengthen the innovation capacity of the economy through the application of new technologies, the internationalization of entrepreneurial initiatives and the cooperation of research institutions with the economy in order to retain young people, they were hiring and doing business within their own country. Through various local and European programs, measures, grants, it is possible to realize business plans such as the "Young Entrepreneurs Camp" and thus act on the development of the economy and generally strengthen entrepreneurial activity by creating a positive image of entrepreneurship in the country. |
