Abstract U ovom završnom radu opisan je pojam upravljanja karijerom kroz faze, strategije i modele. Prikazan je način na koji se upravlja ljudskim potencijalima u organizaciji, teoretski je pozicioniran pojam karijere te pojam profesionalnog razvoja. Kroz planiranje karijere prikazane su faze životnog ciklusa karijere i na koji način se upravlja karijerom u okviru menadžmenta ljudskih potencijala. U radu je prikazan i odnos pojedinca i organizacije u razvoju karijere. Poseban naglasak je dat prikaz modela razvoja karijere koje primjenjuju poduzeća, a od kojih je za pojedino poduzeće najbolji izbor. Ukoliko pojedinac od početka radi na razvoju svoje karijere na način da stekne potrebna stručna znanja i pronađe zanimanje u kojem mogu doći do izražaja njegovi potencijali, razvijat će kvalitetnu karijeru. Međutim, bez neprestanog obrazovanja i treninga zaposlenika, razvoj osobne karijere neće biti moguć. Usavršavanje i stjecanje novih znanja i vještina će uvelike utjecati na pojedinca, a isto tako i na cjelokupnu organizaciju.
Abstract (english) In this final paper, the concept of career management is described through the phases, strategies and models. Also is presented the way in which human resources are managed in the organization, the career concept is theoretically positioned and the concept of professional development are also presented. The career lifecycle phases are presented through career planning, and how the career is managed in the frame of the human resources management. The paper also shows the relationship between an individual and organization in career development. Particular emphasis is given to the model of career development applied by companies, of which the best choice is for the particular company. If an individual is beginning to develop his or her career in the way of acquiring the necessary professional knowledge and finding an interest in his potentials, he/she will develop a quality career. However, without constant education and employee training, personal career development will not be possible. Improvement and acquisition of new knowledge and skills will greatly affect the individual, as well as the overall organization.
