The terms both computers and media are well-known terms today. They are both built so much into human life that most people do not even think about the work of computer, but rather accept its capabilities. The media currently exposed is more than ever before, because of the number in which the media appears today and because of their way of facilitating the recipients. Internet would be described as a media that offers many opportunities. The computer has become and indispensable device in most jobs and it facilitates the work for many people. Modern era technology allows a large flow of information, where the specific information passes from one end of the globe to the other in a fraction of a second. Adults are not so much related to the new technology, but today's young people and children are because they are children of the digital age. In this work we will discuss computers, the media, and both of their impacts on children, as well as advantages and disadvantages of using them. More topics written about will be television and its effect on children's behavior. Enumerated will be positive and negative aspects of using computers and describe their impact on child development. The development of mobile phones and the problems that are occuring today in the use of these smartphones will be mentioned as well. Also shown will be the results of the surveys that were conducted in primary schools Stoja and Centar on students at the third and fourth grades of primary education. The purposes of the survey was to check how much time students spend in front of televisions, are they using smartphones, and to what extent. How much time they use the computer, for what purpose, and also how much time students spend in the park, at the playground, training, and similar outdoor activities.
