Abstract Vjerski turizam jedan je od dominantnih turističkih proizvoda na međunaRodnom turističkom tržištu. On je u praksi često podređen kulturnom turizmu i neopravdano se razvija tek kao jedan od njegovih segmenata. Sinegičan razvoj kulturnog i vjerskog turizma, pri čemu se svaki od njih razvija kao zaseban turistički proizvod, doprinosi međukulturalnim raznolikostima i razumijevanju, kao i otklanjanju osnovnih oblika diskriminacije te obogaćenju turističke ponude i maksimiziranju autentičnog turističkog doživljaja. Osnovne odrednice uspješnog razvoja vjerskog turizma u Hrvatskoj su turistički doživljaj i autentično iskustvo, te dodana vrijednost u turizmu. Hrvatska je preoznala značaj ovih nukelus proizvoda, no za kvalitetan i cjelovit razvoj vjerskog turizma važno je otkloniti osnovna strukturna ograničenja. Cilj rada je istražiti značenje, obilježja i specifičnosti vjerskog turizma kao zasebnog selektivnog oblika. Pored toga, secifični ciljevi očituju se u razmatranju odnosa kulturnog i vjerskog turizma, secificiranja obilježja suvremene turističke potražnje i ponude u vjerskom turizmu, kao i definiranja osnovnih determinanti njegova uspješnog razvoja. Svrha rada je obraditi problematiku razvoja vjerskog turizma u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english) Religious tourism is one of the dominant tourist products on the international tourist market. In practice, it is often subordinated to a cultural tourism and is unjustifiably developing only as one of his segments. The sincere development of cultural and religious tourism, while each of them develops as a separate tourist product, contributes to intercultural diversity and understanding, as well as eliminating the basic forms of discrimination and enriching the tourist offer and maximizing an authentic tourist experience. The basic determinants of the successful development of religious tourism in Croatia are tourist experience and authentic experience, as well as added value in tourism. Croatia has recognized the importance of these products, but for the quality and full development of religious tourism it is important to remove the basic structural constraints. The aim of the paper is to explore the significance, characteristics and specifics of religious tourism as a separate selective form. In addition, specific goals are reflected in the consideration of the relationship between cultural and religious tourism, the specification of the features of modern tourist demand and offerings in religious tourism, as well as the definition of the basic determinants of its successful development. The purpose of this paper is to address the issue of the development of religious tourism in Croatia.
