Abstract (english) Safari is a term that means a tourist trip through the territory of Africa with sightseeing of nature and animals. In the past, safaris mainly referred to the hunting of large animals and other game, while today the name is used more for touring nature and animals in their natural environment with photography. Modern tourism is increasingly using natural environments to grow the industry. This has created a number of positive and negative effects on the environment. In order to reduce the negative and optimize the positive effects, new ways and forms of tourism that use nature have been developed. These new forms of nature-based tourism include concepts such as ecotourism, which aims at the sustainable development of tourism. However, at the same time, other forms of nature-based tourism have emerged, including adventure tourism and safari tourism, which do not always have to have explicit practices aimed at sustainability. Special focus is placed on tourism in national parks and wilderness. Sustainable tourism is very important for these national parks because it places emphasis on environmentally responsible actions that play an important role in nature conservation and thus economic development. Finally, as the number of visitors to these areas becomes more and more popular, it is important to invest in the development of sustainable tourism, for which it is necessary to follow the trends both locally and globally.
