Abstract Društvene mreže stvaraju današnji svijet i percepciju o istome. Napretkom tehnologije, društvene mreže omogućile su nam napredak u poslovanju, komunikaciji, pronalaženju rješenja i dolaženja do informacija. Razvitkom društvenih mreža dolazi do mnogobrojnih pozitivnih, ali i negativnih strana. Danas su društvene mreže veliki dio naše svakodnevnice, vijesti putuju nikad brže, a informacijama svi korisnici mogu upravljati. Omogućavaju nam pronalazak posla, kupnju odjeće, razgovor s prijateljima, potražnju pomoći, praćenje vijesti, rezervirati putovanja te poduzećima uspješno poslovanje i lakši dolazak do ciljanoga segmenta tržišta. Osim velikoga broja mogućnosti koje nam društvene mreže pružaju, korisnici se susreću i s negativnim stranama društvenih mreža i društvenih medija kao takvih. Unutar ovoga diplomskog rada željelo se osvijestit društvo o utjecaju društvenih mreža. Samim istraživanjem provedenim anketnim upitnikom pokušalo se razumjeti stajalište i percepcija društva prema društvenim mrežama, kao i utjecaj samih društvenih mreža. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 3120 ispitanika, koji su činili korisnici i nekorisnici društvenih mreža. Analizom rezultata dobivenih istraživanjem, dolazi se do zaključka, korisnici društvenih mreža smatraju kako iste stvaraju utjecaj na njih kao korisnike. Također analizom rezultata zaključilo se kako korisnici nisu svjesni stvaranja ovisnosti o društvenim mrežama.
Abstract (english) Social networks create today’s world and perception of the same. With the advancement of technology, social networks have enabled us to progress in business, communication, finding solutions and accessing information. With the development of social networks, there are many positive and negative sides. Today, social networks are a big part of our daily lives, news never traveled faster, and information can be managed by all users. They allow us to find work, buy clothes, talk to friends, seek help, follow the news, book trips, also enables easier market segmentation and easier communication with customers. In addition to the large number of opportunities that social networks provide us, users also encounter the negative aspects of social networks and social media as such. The research is performed by using a survey in the form of a questionnaire with the aim of understanding the attitude and perception of society towards social networks, as well as the influence of social networks themselves. The sample consisted of 3120 respondents, both users and non-users of social networks. By analyzing the results obtained by the research, it could be concluded that social network users believe this medium creates an impact on them as users. Also, the analysis of the results led to the conclusion that users are not aware of the creation of dependence on social networks.
