i Aziju.
mora i bogate kulturne i prirodne baštine.
ponovno otkriti ruralna područja, planine, avanturu, trekking. U fazi trenutačnog
strukturiranja, ovaj treći veliki trend odmora napreduje u Europi.
odmora, do nekoliko izleta vikendom i do višednevnih izleta. To je izazvalo dvostruki
proces: značajno povećanje broja putovanja Europljana i izniman gubitak sezonalnosti.
Model uočava znakove iscrpljenosti u nizu aspekata,
poput zloporabe teritorija i nasljeđa.
Abstract (english) The Mediterranean is an area of the Mediterranean Sea that connects three continents
- Europe, Africa and Asia. Tourism is a very important branch of the economy in this
area, and the number of tourists has increased significantly in recent decades. Tourists
come to the Mediterranean because of the sun, the sea and the rich cultural and natural
heritage. Also, tourists in the last few years are no longer just tourists but also travelers.
They no longer want to be in just one destination. That is why tourist mobility is
important. The subject of this paper is the Mediterranean and tourist mobility, and the
challenges of tourism development in the Mediterranean. In the last few years a third
mass movement has been unleashed in Europe – towards the interior. The aim of
these trips is to discover or rediscover rural areas, mountains, adventure, trekking....
Now at the phase of final structuring, this third major vacation trend is progressing in
Europe. From one main holiday to a much shorter holiday, to an average of eight days,
to several short holidays, to a few weekend trips and to several days of excursions.
This has forged a double process: of a significant increase in the number of trips made
by Europeans and extraordinary loss of seasonality. During periods of military conflict,
tourist destinations divide into critical (heavily penalised by it) and refuge (picking up
those tourists who are afraid to go to the affected areas). The Balkan countries, Turkey
and the traditional Arab states are emerging as much cheaper tourist destinations. The
model of intensive coastal tourist development has offered cheap package holidays
from the beginning. The model observes signs of exhaustion in a series of aspects,
such as the abuse of territory and heritage. In this way, the total recovery of the sea
becomes the most immediate objective of all the countries which live off tourism in this
area.
