This paper addresses the alarming challenges facing Adriatic fishing, including the potential for its extinction. To address this issue, the European Union has established a commission for the long-term future of Adriatic fishing and developed an ambitious plan. The plan focuses on three key elements: sustainable fishery management, marine environment protection, and support for the fishing community. The first element involves establishing stricter catch quotas, control and monitoring of fishing tools, and a system of selective fishing to protect fish populations and the ecosystem of the Adriatic Sea. The second element of the plan emphasizes the need for marine environmental protection through pollution reduction, better tourism management, and control of illegal fishing. The third element of the plan provides support to the fishing community through co-financing and modernization of fishing equipment, as well as through education and training for sustainable fishing practices. The paper concludes that the implementation of these plans will require the cooperation of all stakeholders, including fishermen, local authorities, scientific institutions, and EU institutions, but that this approach provides a path towards a sustainable future for Adriatic
