Quality and competitiveness are intertwined concepts that significantly impact the success of businesses and nations in the global marketplace. Quality, whether in products, services, or infrastructure, directly influences a company or country's ability to stand out, attract customers, and thrive economically. High-quality offerings lead to increased customer satisfaction, enhanced reputation, and improved competitiveness, both in domestic and international markets. Therefore, prioritizing and maintaining a commitment to quality is essential for long-term economic growth and sustainability. In the research part of this paper, the set hypotheses are examined, and it is determined whether the change in the global competitiveness rank of a country was conditioned by the growth or decline in the number of active ISO 9001 certificates. Numerous scientific research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, description, mathematical-statistical methods, and inductive-deductive methods.
