Decision-making is an activity that represents the selection of one of several offered alternatives. Making decisions is present in the everyday life of all individuals, and it carries great weight and importance because everything happening right now is a consequence of some decisions made earlier. In this final paper, individual and collective decision-making in business was investigated. To begin with, a little more was said about decision-making in general, and some of the key factors influencing decision-making were described. The advantages and disadvantages of both independent and collective decision-making are presented. By comparing all the advantages and disadvantages, it was concluded that the choice between individual and collective decision-making depends on the circumstances, the nature of the problem, the time available for reflection and discussion, and the skills and knowledge of the people involved in the process. Most often, routine decisions are made individually, and in the case of more complex decisions, decisions made in a group have better results. Five types of decision-makers are characterized and several decision-making methods in the group are highlighted. Each of the five types of decision-makers has a specific character and acts differently in different situations. In the process of individual decision-making, the decision-maker does not listen to the advice of others, but the decision is the result of his emotional state and knowledge. Each of the group decision-making methods has its advantages and disadvantages and is suitable for different situations, it is only important to choose the appropriate method for solving a particular problem. When making decisions in the business world, it is once again important to note that decisions should be made with great caution, because every decision determines the direction of movement of the entire organization, and everything currently happening is a consequence of some earlier decisions.
