Abstract
U ovom završnom radu prikazano je rješavanje optimizacijskih problema pomoću računalnog programa Octave. U uvodnom je dijelu objašnjen pojam optimiranja te su navedene faze donošenja odluka prilikom definiranja optimizacijskih problema. Navedene su i neke od vrsta linearnog programiranja, koje čini jednu od najčešćih tehnika optimiranja. U drugom je poglavlju opisano sučelje računalnog programa Octave, online verzija korisničkog sučelja te je objašnjena primjena optimizacijskog paketa. U trećem su poglavlju zatim definirani problem optimalne proizvodnje i problem raspoređivanja radnika te su prikazana rješenja dobivena pomoću skripti računalnog programa Octave. Za usporedbu, primijenjen je i alat Rješavač u MS Excel-u.
Abstract (english)
In this bachelor thesis, the solving of optimization problems using the computer program Octave was presented. In introduction part, the concept of optimization and phases for defining optimization problem have been described. The second chapter describes the interface of the Octave and explains the application of the optimization package. The third chapter presents the problem of optimal production and the assignment problem, and the solutions for listed problems obtained by using an Octave script. For comparison, MS Excel's Solver tool was also applied.
