Nowadays, in addition to making a profit, social responsibility is playing an increasingly important role in companies, and it is of great importance that companies operate according to the principles of the concept of social responsibility. The topic of this paper is "Corporate Social Responsibility". The paper presents definitions, types, models and advantages of the concept of social responsibility, as well as a brief historical development of social responsibility in Croatia and Europe. Furthermore, the paper thoroughly analyzes and compares social responsibility in Croatia on the examples of large Croatian companies. Their business is presented according to the principles of the concept of social responsibility, the activities they undertake in terms of environment, society, investment and employees, and a number of similarities in the strategies they implement in terms of social responsibility. Based on all the above, a concluding opinion was finally issued.
