Abstract Jedan od ključnih čimbenika upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima je motivacija zaposlenika. Često se postavlja pitanje kako motivirati zaposlenike i na taj način pridonijeti boljem funkcioniranju poduzeća. Motivacija je ključna za visoke standarde poslovanja, za poticanje kreativnosti, stvaralaštva i inovativnosti, za profesionalni razvoj zaposlenih i njihovo zadržavanje u poduzeću. Beneficije utječu na to hoće li zaposlenici doći raditi za tvrtku, hoće li u njoj ostati, kada će ići u mirovinu, možda čak i na njihovu uspješnost. Prema prethodno navedenom može se zaključiti da različiti zaposlenici traže različite vrste beneficija. Iako o beneficijama razmišljamo kao dijelu ukupne kompenzacije, beneficije imaju posebne karakteristike. Napredovanja, simboli statusa, priznanja, plaće i druge materijalne kompenzacije vidljivi su mehanizmi alokacije specifičnih nagrada i vrednovanja rada unutar politike i prakse svake pojedinačne organizacije. Zaposlenici često nisu niti svjesni beneficija kojima se mogu koristiti, a ako jesu, često ne razumiju kako ih koristiti. Problem će nastupiti onda kada poslodavac uloži ili potroši veliku količinu novca na beneficiji, a zaposlenici ih ne razumiju ili im daju preveliku vrijednost. U ovom radu ističe se važnost beneficija u današnje vrijeme te se pokušava prikazat kako one utječu na motivaciju svakog zaposlenika. Među ostalim istražuje se koje sve beneficije motiviraju zaposlenike.
Abstract (english) One of the key factors of human resource management is employee motivation. Often the question is how to motivate employees and thus contribute to the better functioning of the company. Motivation is the key to high business standards, encouraging creativity, development and innovation, professional development of employees and their retention in the company. Benefits influence on whether employees are going to come to work for the company, will they stay there, when are they going to retire, perhaps even on their success. According to what is specified above it can be concluded that different employees require different types of benefits. Although wet hink about benefits as part of total compensation, benefits have special characteristics. Promotion, status symbols, recognition, salaries and other material compensations are visible mechanisms for allocating specific awards and work evaluation within the policies and practices of each organization. Employees are often not aware of the benefits which can be used and, if so, often do not understand how to use them. The problem will occur when the employer invest or spend a large amount of money on benefits, and employees do not understand them or give them too much value. This paper emphasizes the importance of benefits today and attempts to show how they affect the motivation of each employee. Among all the other things this paper will explore which benefits motivate employees.
