Abstract
Dans ce mémoire de master, on analysera l'influence de l'Indochine sur l'ouvrage de Marguerite Duras, surtout dans ces trois œuvres: Un barrage contre le Pacifique, L'Amant et L'Amant de la Chine du Nord. Il s'agit d’oeuvres avec des traces autobiographiques qui montrent des différences culturelles entre les Européens et les Asiatiques et la relation amoureuse dont l'obstacle est précisement cette différence culturelle. On analysera également l'attitude de la mère enver les enfants, une mère qui ne renonce jamais à trouver des soultions pour changer la situation financière de la famille. La thèse montrera aussi comment les relations familales, amoureuses et culturelles ont influé sur la création d'identité de l'écrivaine. Duras a écrit sur ces thèmes tout au long de sa carrière d'écrivain, inspirée par ses souvenirs qui ont donné naissance à ces romans les plus célèbres.
Abstract (croatian)
U ovom radu analizirati će se Indokina u stvaralaštvu Marguerite Duras, posebice u njena tri djela: Ljubavnik, Brana na Pacifiku i Ljubavnik iz Sjeverne Kine. Riječ je o djelima s autobiografskim elementima u kojima su prikazane kulturološke razlike Europljana i Azijaca, ljubavni odnos kojem je prepreka upravo ta kulturološka razlika, međutim također i odnos majke prema djeci, majke koja nikada ne odustaje u pokušaju pronalaska rješenja da promijeni siromašnu obiteljsku situaciju. U radu će se također prikazati kako su obiteljski, ljubavni i kolonijalni odnosi utjecali na stvaranje identiteta spisateljice. Duras se toj temi djetinjstva u Indokini vraća tijekom cijele svoje spisateljske karijere, potaknuta sjećanjima te tako u ciklusu tvori neka od svojih najznačajnijih djela.
Abstract (english)
This thesis will analyse the influence of Indochina in the authorship of Marguerite Duras, especially in her three literary works: The Sea Wall, The Lover and The North China Lover. It is focused on works with autobiographical elements, which are showing cultural differences between Europeans and Asians, and love relationship to which obstacle is precisely the cultural difference. It will also analyse the attitude of mother to the children, a mother who never gives up of finding the new way to change a family financial situation. The thesis will also show how every relationship influenced the creation of the identity of the writer, the one of love and the one of family, and on the other side the colonialism, one of the topics in Marguerite Duras's novels. However, The Lover is not the only novel with those topics inspired by childhood memories; she is creating a cycle of novels with the theme of Indochina.
