Abstract U ovom radu opisani su principi i postupci regulacije brzine vrtnje i opterećenja kod brodskih porivnih dizelskih motora, što se odnosi na sporohodne dvotaktne dizel motore, odnosno srednjehodne četverotaktne dizel motore. Navedene su i opisane podjele regulatora prema konstruktivnoj izvedbi, svojoj ulozi i načinu rada, odnosno djelovanju. Opisana je konstrukcija regulatora sa svim dijelovima, što je potkrijepljeno sa slikama. Zbog težnje ka sve preciznijoj i bržoj regulaciji, u današnje vrijeme u uporabi su uglavnom digitalni regulatori u kombinaciji sa visokim stupnjem automatizacije, no osim njih navedeni su i objašnjeni standardni mehanički regulatori kako bi se lakše objasnila suština rada i djelovanja regulatora na brzinu vrtnje u ovisnosti o opterećenju motora. Ovisno o potrebama regulacijskog sustava, odabiru se regulatori sa različitim djelovanjima, bilo to proporcijalno, integracijsko ili derivacijsko djelovanje, ili pak kombinacija svih navedenih (PD, PI ili PID regulatori). Objašnjeni su neki od regulacijskih parametara i algoritama izraženih matematičkim formulama. Zbog svoje najšire primjene na brodovima, obrađen je Woodward-ov regulator. To je mehaničko-hidraulički regulator integracijskog djelovanja sa elastičnom povratnom vezom. Navedene su sve njegove komponente i principi rada u kombinaciji sa analognim radom ali i digitalnim radom. Automatskoj regulaciji zbog svoje kompleksnosti i širine, u ovom radu nije predano previše pažnje, a jedan od razloga je i to što je značaj automatske regulacije izraženiji kod regulacije brzine vrtnje dizelskih motora koji služe za pogon generatora električne energije.
Abstract (english) The aim of this final work is to describe principles and procedures regulation of the rotation speed and load for the propulsion diesel engine, when it comes to low speed two-stroke diesel engines, or midium speed four-stroke diesel engines. Governors are divided and described according to their constructive design, function, mode of operation, and activity. Construcion of governors with all of their parts are described, what is also supported with pictures. Nowadays, because of tendency for more precise and faster regulation, in use are mostly digital governors combinated with high stage of automatization. However, beside them standard mechanical governors are also decribed, so that the essence of function and activity of the governor at the speed rotation depending on the engine load, could be easier explained. Depending on the needs of regulation system, governors with different function can be selected. That can be proportional, integrative or derivative function and also combination of all mentioned (PD, PI or PID governors). Some of regulation parameters and algorithms expressed with mathematical formulas are also described. Because of widely use on ships, Woodward governor is described. It is a mechanicallyhydraulic governor of integrated action with elastic feedback. All components and operating principles combined with analogue and digital work are mentioned. Due to its complexity, it is not too much attention paid to the automatic regulation, also one of the reasons is that importance of automatic regulation is more expressed in regulation of rotation speed and the loading for the diesel generator.
