These thesis will focus on the characteristics of the regional language of the island of Pašman and its Chakavian dialect at phonological, morphological and syntax levels. It will discuss the role of the homeland idioms in the classes of Croatian language and infleunce of the regional dialects as a starting point in learning standard Croatian language. Didactic rules are cited below which are set to inform the teachers of different techniques and educational methods to enable their pupils qualitative lessons and easy understanding of their work material which is linked of their culture. The results here are given on the research of presence of the Chakavian dialect in everyday communication of the year 5 pupils at primary school Vladimir Nazor at island of Pašman. The research has been done over the period of two meetings. During different drama performances which were audio recorded many differences at all language levels were noted and divided into contrastive tables.
