This graduate thesis describes the experiences and challenges tha tteachers meet during the work, while a child with special needs, more specifically with Asperger syndrome, is included in the children workgroup. The modern era, in which we live, implies not only integration, but also the inclusion of people with special needs in society, starting from early and pre-school age. According to the fact that pre-school edducation in the Republic of Croatia is compulsory, it is necessary to create the conditions for its implementation. In order to provide an insight into the positive experiences and negative obstacles encountered by teachers when it comes to the inclusion of children with special needs, a qualitative research was best selection for this graduate thesis. The aim is to identify the competences and possibilities of inclusion. First part of the research include an insight in to the competences of teachers who obtain formal education at the faculties in the Republic of Croatia. Second part of the research refers to the experiences of the teachers and their work in kindergarten, while third part analyzes the case study with participation, focuses on the social interactions of a child with autistic spectrum disorder.
