Abstract Parfemi u današnje vrijeme čine neizostavan modni dodatak, posebice kada su u pitanju žene. Širok spektar izbora parfema čini odabir parfema izazovom. Na odabir parfema mogu utjecati razni faktori od kojih se najveće zanimanje pripisuje crtama ličnosti. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos između dimenzija ličnosti i preferencije parfema s obzirom na koncept parfema (cvjetni, ciparski, orijentalni). U provedenom istraživanju sudjelovalo je 106 ispitanica u dobi od 20 do 27 godina (M= 22.11, SD= 1.51). Za procjenu ličnosti ispitanica korišten je HEXACO upitnik ličnosti od 60 čestica, dok se za utvrđivanje doživljaja i preferencije parfema koristio upitnik s listom pridjeva. Za ispitivanje preferencije boja preko koje se povezuju preferencije parfema sa crtama ličnosti korišten je Mechlerov piramidalni test (Beck i Mensing, 1988). Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazali su da postoje razlike u preferencijama parfema s obzirom na stupanj ekstraverzije. Ispitanice koje na HEXACO upitniku ličnosti postižu iznadprosječan rezultat na dimenziji ekstraverzije preferiraju cvjetni parfem u ovom slučaju Lancome Miracle, dok ispitanice čiji se rezultati nalaze na drugom polu ove dimenzije preferiraju orijentalni parfem odnosno Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.Nadalje,utvrđene su razlike u doživljajima parfema uzimajući u obzir stupanj izraženosti svih šest dimenzija ličnosti i tri navedene vrste parfema.
Abstract (english) Perfumes are an irreplaceable fashion addition in today's times, especially among women, and wide range of choices represents a certain challenge. When choosing a prefume, the decision process is influenced by many different factors, of which one of the most significant are personality traits. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the personality dimensions and perfume preference considering the perfume's concept (floral, cyphre, oriental). The sample in the research was assembled by 106 participants – age range was from 20 to 27 years old (M= 22.11, SD= 1.51). To estimate the personality of the female participants, HEXACO survey, containing 60 items was used, while measuring the subjective experiences and perfume preferences was measured using the questionaire containing a list of adjectives. To determine colour preference, which is used to determine corelation between perfume preference and personality traits, Mechler's Pyramidal Test was used (Beck and Mensing, 1988). Findings of this research show several diffeences when it comes to perfume preferences and extroversion.More extroverted participants prefer floral perfume , in this case Lancome Miracle and less extroverted participants prefer oriental perfume, in this case Chanel Coco Mdemoiselle. Additionally, differences were found when it comes to how the paricipants have experienced those three prefume concepts considering the below and above average results for every dimension of HEXACO Personality Inventory.
